Personality & performance
I just want to increase the performance and give it a little more personality. I like it sound a littler deeper and louder. I like the the sound of the REMUS but don't think they make one for my 03' ML500. I think I'm trying to achieve that ML55 sound and quad exhaust outlet in the back.

Lorinser makes a great exhaust setup for this. One of my friends has a ML430 and did the ML500 engine swap to it. (he bought the 430 before the 500 was availiable) He added the Lorinser 4" wide body kit and Lorinser exhaust to it. It looks and sounds amazing!! You won't be disappointed.

Lorinser ML(sold) E500 (sold) Sl500 2015 Escalade Bentley GT
I have the Lorinser Quad Exhaust
It sounds and performs great! It has a nice and deep sound to it, not loud like from a civic or something. I had a dual Remus before and it did not compare to the Lorisner exhaust. Here is a link to some pics:

Did the Lorinser exhaust require spare tire removal as well ?

AmFung did you purchase you exhaust system already? If, yes. What type of exhaust did you purchase brand and style? and how do you feel about it? Sound & performance? Like to get some input here...

I have an ML500 with a Brabus Exhaust
Yes, you do need to remove the spare tire. As you probably know, no exhaust by itself will give you any real significant gain in horsepower. I got the Brabus exhaust because I liked the look and it gives off a nice "throaty" sound.....not loud at all but definately noticeable when idling...not so much when you step on the gas. Brabus told me Germany has some strict laws when it comes to exhaust noise so they don't make their exhaust too loud.

Even though I really like your Brabus setup. But the pricing with Brabus and Lorinser its just too much of a shock to obsorb for me. I think I still need more time to get use to the these pricing. Its seems BMW performance parts is cheaper.

** Does anyone uses Magna Flow exhaust? How does it sound? My local muffle shop carries them and they can do a custom piping for me but I like to get some opinion first. Thanks.

I would love to but the pricing seem to be ridiculous. I use to be able to get great discount from my buddies around 45 ~ 60 % off the retail but now I don't have the connection anymore and anything more then $1000.00 for exhaust system just doesn't justified the worthyness. Unless you or someone can prove its worthy of the $1500 plus price tag. So, for now I guess I'm just gonna keep research and watch out for great deals. Anyone knows someone that can get super deals on MB performance product like Name Brands. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
