Misfire #8 with new MAF?

1999 ML430, 118,000 miles. just replaced the MAF due to CEL staying on. My wife got in this morning and took off. Car shakes pretty hard, scares the hell out out her. CEL back on. Code say Misfire #8. After the car warms up it runs great. What could it be? spark plugs? Wires? or Injectors? Or could it be a defective MAF sensor. (which I don't think so). Any input would be great.

The only way to find out for sure is to have it correctly diagnosed. Spend a few nickles at a dealers and have him use the Star system. It should pin point the problem and eliminate a guessing game unless you just want to throw parts and dollars at it untill you hit on the correct item. Generally a hand held reader will just give you a general idea but will not pin point the problem like the STAR system.
