Brake life on a ML500

It's pretty much a DD for me and I really don't do anything other than come and go driving. 26,000 miles. It went in for service today and because it's an 04 the service is free. Stealer says I need pads and rotors front and rear, $1500.00. Is this normal mileage for this?

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
If anything, compared to many of us, you got alot more miles than normal out of a set.

The pads have wear sensors. Unless the brake pad wear lights are on,
the dealers are probably milking their cash cows.
