CD not working!

CD not working!
I just picked up an 02 ML 500 and it has a CD changer in the trunk!
It also has the cd player behind the command screen.
When I put a CD in behind the screen the player doesn't read it but the same CD in the changer works fine!
Whats up with that!?

2001 ML320 fully loaded except the damn navigation sytem.
thats because the cd player behind the command screen is for the navigation system. It doesnt read audio cds it only read navigation cds. lucky you. Look on ebay for cheaper nav cds. if you want, i have a person who sells nav cds and just PM ME AND ILL GIVE YOU HIS CONTACT INFO.
