99 ML320 Custom Bracket for XM

I am building a bracket for my AudioVox XM receiver. I plan to attach an extension plate to the removable ashtray in the center consol and mount the head unit on the plate (will show picts when done). This way it is removable with out changing the look.

Does anyone know where I can get a cheep/used extra ashtray "liner"? I don’t want to drill my only one without having a spare and I can only guess how much they are from a dealer.

Also my AudioVox X Press (mod# 136-4040) doesn’t have a volume knob, only line-out. Any suggestions for hardwiring my Bose stock stereo without going FM or tape?

Thanks to all...

Cheers.

I will continue to look on ebay, thanks.

If you are talking about the wireing harness that bypasses the head-unit, it will not work as my XM has no volume. If not, if you could provide a link you would be my new BF

Just talked to my guys at the dealership. $40. A little steep for a crappy piece of plastic
