New rotors...

Just had all stock rotors replaced on my 2003 ML350 with Raceconcepts rotors. Running Mintex pads....Perfect for about a week and then the dreaded brake squeek/squeal now happens once in awhile. I can live with it for now but next time I'm gonna try some akebono or porterfields.....Hard Braking does feel better but then again I'm not racing....sorry about the dusty rims but haven't had a chance to clean them up just yet.....again in fairness brake dust level is significantly better also........

I have raceconcept rotors. I dont like them. They look great but somehow the rear rotor slot make flapping noise against the pads.. The main problem is the rear rotor slot and drilled holes actually extend beyond the pads contact surface.

I feel less breaking power than before. I will go with OEM type none sloted and drilled rotor on my next brake change.

Mine is a ML55. so maybe you may have better luck with them.

Go with Akebono pad. They are great when I had them on my BMW E34. No dust and No noise!

Did you remember to apply anti-squeal compound or Never-Seize to the backs of the pads? Also if you've powerwashed your wheels and brakes, that sometimes washes the stuff off.

Another cause of squealling brakes could be that they were improperly broken in. If they're not heat cycled gently when they're new, the entire pad material can be ruined and you'll be dealing with squeal for the life of the pads.
