Nope nothing spilled in there.

After work yesterday I took it for a spin. 35 MPH same deal. Flashing triangle and no more speed or throttle. Pulled over, turned vehicle off, restarted and it drove fine. Drove it for 15 minutes no issue's , no warning lights.
He heads back to college 3 hours away at the end of the week and not sure how to proceed now .................

.

Your vehicle has detected traction loss and thinks it is about to spin off the road. First you need to get the brake code the vehicle is throwing.

testing yaw rate sensor

why not recommend that the OP tests the yaw rate sensor himself first instead of spending some place between $500-$1000 for a new sensor and not being 100% certain the problem he mentioned was actually caused by the yaw sensor? there are quite a few easy ways to test the yaw sensor... here's one testing technique which came up first:

Oh, sort of accidentally, I think it is just the ABS motor brushes worn down, so it has had the side effect of switching on all the warning lights and turning off most of the electronics! It drives so much better on road now that I haven't tried fixing it, but low range and traction control don't work either so I have to be careful driving off road, and only do gentle stuff. I think it is time for an overhaul and fixing lots of stuff though now!

did you remove the relay from the ebox? Are your ABS lights on your dashboard on? My ABS unit just went out on me and I’ve decided not replace it as I live in California and only drive 3k miles a year. I’m just wondering if there’s a way I can get rid of these lights.

Hi, I tried taking the light bulbs out of the dash console but then the car went into limp mode, so I just put up with the warning lights all showing. If the Yaw rate sensor goes, the car can do stupid things like slam the brakes on on the highway. It seems generally cheaper to get another car for parts, or use the old one for parts!

I don’t mind replacing sensors and other parts I can still purchase brand new. I was just not a big fan of paying for a rebuild abs unit and running into risk it malfunctions and need to send it back in. The cost for labor will just add up. I learn to drive without ABS units so I’m confident in my driving skills without it.

Or you could try plug-a-part at a much lower cost - how about $50 for a used yaw rate sensor?
