AC Problem - Possibly pump has died - air conditioning
Havent used it all winter ( i know i should keep using it during winter) and when i starter to use it recently, it wasn't blowing cold.
Had it regassed today and its still not blowing cold, but after the regass, I noticed a strange sound when I turned the AC on.
Looked under the hood, and a small wheel about 4" diameter runs intermittently, like it is getting stuck on something. I assume this is the AC pump???? Anyone know?
So perhaps this is why. Anyone had this problem before? Is this the AC pump I decsribed (or tried to!!)
Thing is, Never heard that sound before and I'm thinking the guy regassing it done something to it when he was draining the system/regassing.
Its sunday so i can't find out prices for a pump if it is a pump, anyone know roughly how much they cost?
But it is making a loud noise when it turns.
The a/c fans at the fron of the engie are not coming on.
What would make it turn then stop turn then stop? Or is this what it is supposed to do?
What makes the 2 a/c fans at front of engine work?
