my current problems..
My SUV is not starting in the morning after multiple attempts. Sounds like a cough. A mechanic told me that the starter was disengaging. I’ve called AAA on multiple occasions and when they get there an hour later, the car starts. It has no more problems for the rest of the day. One mechanic told me he thought a chip was going bad but since it’s not happening all the time he can’t find it. Another mechanic spent 1 ½ hrs of diagnostic time and couldn’t find the problem. He said there are 4 or five pieces in the starting system and it would take him a long time to test them all. I have a new battery and alternator so we can rule that out. I also have a leak that one mechanic thought could be causing corrosion or a short. Please see the “2000 Mercedes ML 320 sunroof leak” and tell me if you think he is correct. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
2000 Mercedes ML 320 sunroof leak.
I have a bad leak that one mechanic said is being caused by the tubes in the sunroof that are supposed to drain the water becoming clogged with debris. This is the moonroof that goes all the way back so nearly the entire roof is opened up. He has blown them out before. I don’t actually see any debris so I don’t know if he is right or not. When the car is parked on a level surface, the water drips down onto my left foot and fills up the floorboard only on the left side. If the car is parked on a slight incline, the water pours out the light assembly in the ceiling in the back. Is there a design flaw with this model? Do others experience this problem? How can I fix it? Thanks.
