My 2000 ML55 is rattling under at stop in drive or reverse. Rattle stop when I put it in neurtral or when I drive the car normally.

Sounds like some type of rotational rattle but when the car get going there is no rattle anymore.

Is my Tranny going bad?

It is strange because the car drive normally w good shift and no rattle when rolling.

need more info to give opinion but sounds either like bad cat or bad belt

Its a bad cat.. I went under and knock on all the parts and one of the cat is rattling.

mine is doing it too, Ive had aftermarket cars on the car for like a year... pretty ****ty if you ask me

that is the sound of like the parts of the cat rattling like popcorn in a pot.

when you press the gas the parts go to one side and doesn't rattle as bad. when you let go of gas it starts rattling again from the parts not being pushed with so much pressure.
