OK, I have a wierd one!
Ok...listen to this...I have been revamping my 2000 ML, and it has been out of commission for about a year...Had body damage and suspension damage from off road accident....Anyway,,,.I finally got it road-worthy....And i drove it yesterday and there is this crazy swishing water sound every time I start or stop....Sounds like an ocean....Like there is gallons and gallons of water inside something underneath the car....Its truely bizarre....Any ideas of what this may be....Wherever the water is it is not draining at all....Could the frame somehow be filled with water and have nowhere to drain...etc....Should I drill a little hole in the frame or something or is there a drain valve for this type of problem....I have never heard of this before and it is so weird...please help me out on this one guys....Thanks

Thanks so much.... I found the drain hole and when I cleared it, it spewed like a hose for 5 min.....There must have been 20 gallons of water in there....The drain hole is on both sides of the ml... only the one on the driver side was clogged on mine...It is right behind either tire in the bottom of the plastic trim peice..like the side skirt....I think the water was in the plastic not the frame..
Thanks again, I was going to put a hole in the frame....

Thanks everyone. Solved my boating incident. Mine actually had a plastic plug which I had to pry out to drain the water.
