Car Wont Start, very weird issue!!
Hello everyone,
I have searched the forum, but I have not found this issue. The car will crank over and stay stuck trying to start without touching the key and not start. it will do it a few times, than 20 min later it will turn over a start like nothings happened. I am thinking its the ignition switch, any ideas? The car has no stalling issue.

Sounds like a failing Crank Position Sensor, very common problem. See http://www.mercedesshop.com/shopforu...ht=cps+failure

I have a similar problem..
Except that my ML320 will crank over and when starts it Immidiatley dies after maybe a second.
When I try to start it again the car will not even crank over..
The car will almost start every 5 times I try to start it :/
There is also a whinig noise when I turn on the ignition which I have never heard before.
Is it the "CPS" or something worse?

ML430 starting problem
My ML430 has this problem that started recently.
It doesn't hold fuel pressure in line and fuel rail to engine after engine is turned off. Fuel pump does not run to pressurize the supply when ignition key is turned to on position (2 position). Fuel pump only runs when key is in start position (3 positione) and engine cranks or runs. I can understand about pressure holding that pressure regulator is probably bad and I need to replace fuel filter. But I don't understand why pump doesn't run for short time when key is turned to 2 position. Any suggestions on the problem? Also am I right about replacing filter replacing? Thanks for any help.
