MCS navigation on sale

My buddy told me all the ebay items sold except the MCS.
He told me the reserve price is around $500 or so. Poked around on ebay - seems pretty cheap for the complete system

eBay Motors: Mercedes ML W163 MCS GPS NAVIGATION ML320 ML430 ML350 (item 220292782880 end time Oct-19-08 19:03:46 PDT)

By the way, I find there are pros and cons with the MCS nav myself.
Having purchased it and retrofitted into my ML I have to say there is no substitute for an inbuilt system - I don't care much for the portable units - but then again I like the "OEM look". To each his own...

$500 is still WAY TOO MUCH,

I sold mine years ago for $350... and with the DVD based units going for a couple hundred more... not worth the $500

There is no integration between the factory radio and the W163... you could buy a double din aftermarket and have it look more factory then the MCS

i agree with fanatic55. Given the fact that most people also has portable GPS, and GPS on even their cell phones, $500 is Truly pushing it. I think he should put the unit back to his car, or seriously drop the price, if he's really in need of money and pawn something else along with it. the MCS is nothing to be Bragging nor function-wise unique about. Just a mercedes marketing technique to give the 320's no nav, but a screen to stare at pretending to have Navigation, HAHA, now that i think of it, i've been doing that for years................
