What Type of Power Steering Fluid

My 2005 ML350 is making some noices and I noticed that the resorvour is 1/2 full. I looked thru the manual and it says to us MB fluid, but can I use anything else that is compatable?

No, you have to use the OEM fluid. You can see it is very different from the generic stuff.
