ML 320 No speaker sound after new battery
The dealer sent out roadside assistance and after the new battery was installed, I noticed on the way home that the radio had NO sound! All radio functions work including CD changer but NO sound!
I checked all fuses even the one on the back of the radio. The dealer has no clue what's going on and this is going on 2 months now and driving me crazy. Is there something else to check on my 1999 ML 320?
Thanks in advance because the wife is not happy trying to stay awake in the early morning commute...![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
best regards,
dave

I cannot afford the stealer...besides, they said they had no clue.
Since I lost my job recently, I am in this alone unless someone here can help?
Best regards,
dave

Ah ha! After a lot of long hours...
Did some research, again, on Benzworld, and found an old archived photo of where the amp is (high up on the firewall behind the driver's side cup holder and hidden under insulation)...
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w163...se-system.html
Removed the little panel on the dash on the left of the steering wheel and felt the amp and wiring with my hand and, a wire was loose! I wiggled it and made sure it was seated and the radio now works perfectly!
Not sure why it was loose or if anyone else will have the same problem, but it is worth a try!
Good luck.
