2000 ML320 Humming Noise

I'm looking for help. There is a sigificant humming noise that gets progressively louder as speed increases. It doesn't make the humming noise in park when I rev the engine so I'm suspecting that it may be something to do with the drivetrain. Any thoughts on this very annoying problem would be much appreciated.

Could be lots of things, some to look at are wheel bearings, tires, differentials, universal joints, transmission. This would be a place only where people could guess. My advice is to take it to a dealer or a good MB independent and have them drive and diagnose the vehicle correctly

Tires are new within the last year - the noise started after the first rotation (well after)
