ML500 - Doors keep locking/unlocking/locking
I have a new problem with my 2001 ML500. All of a sudden the auto door looks are going crazy. Every time I come to a stop at a red light or stop sign, and then accelerate again the door locks unlock themselves and then lock again. When I get into the car for the first time and start driving they do this as well.
When I am driving normally on the road this does not happen. Has anyone else had this same problem? If so what did you do to fix it?
Thanks!!!
PS- I dont frequent this forum that much so if you had this can you email me at lobell355@gmail.com Thanks again!

Out Of Control!!
I know your issue... you have machine gunning door locks...
if you look at all you doors when they start flipping out, one door will not lock, that door lock actuator needs to be replaced
the reason they do this when you just start moving is because at 10mph the ML is programmed to lock the doors if there is an unlocked door... because the actuator is broken, it tries to lock everytime it passes 10mph...
This has been covered in a number of threads but I thought I would point you to the search function... "give a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man to fish, he eats for a life time"

ML320, and... Santa Fé -07
I had a similar problem on my ML 320..
Funny thing is it was because of the battery the locks went haywire :P
Try recharging your battery or replace it, That's what we did

I'm having a similar issue with my 2003 ML500.
Full auto machine gun locks, but my issue happens when I try to lock all doors from the inside switch.
All doors are affected.
I've searched my *** off -.and I can't find the fix.
Any and all help is appreciated.

You should be able to lock the drivers door from the inside (front passenger seat and reach over), It is done as a safety measure so it is harder to lock yourself out of the car.

Okay, thanks for the response.
I can manually lock the rear doors from the passenger seat (w/the key out), but I can't lock either of the front doors. They just "pop" back up to the unlocked position.
Any advice?
Thanks
