Screen says "WAIT" Headlights don't work!
Hey guys, I have a 2002 ML320, I let this car sit outside alll summer beucase I use a differnet car. I tried to start it for the first time this fall, and it didnt work, I figured the battery had drained and could no longer hold a charge because the car hadn't been turned on all summer!
Anyways, I had the battery changed, then the mechanic said the alternator was broken...can this happen? I feel like he just ripped me off for as much possible.
Anyways, 500 for all that.
Now I get the car back, my low beams do not turn on...even on auto or w/e. highs work fine tho...? Also my COMMAND screen said insert security code and my dad pressed 0000 (I don't know why) and now it just says "WAIT"
Searched the forum, and read the manual...no idea, PLEASE HELP!

Try pulling the fuse for the radio/mcs and then reinsert the fuse to reboot the radio. Then try entering the correct radio code. As for the headlights, check the bulbs to see if they are in working order. My 2 cents.

Not sure on the lights, but the radio code is surely not 0000. Check your owners information for a credit card sized radio code card and try like mentioned above.
If you are going to leave it sit like that I would think about some sort of battery device to maintain it.
