HELP!!!!
OKAY, SO TODAY I GET IN MY ML320 (1999) START IT AND THE LOW RANGE LIGHT BLINKS A COUPLE OF TIMES SO I TRY AND TURN IT OFF, AND CHECK TO SEE IF I DID BY TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN TO SEE IF IT WORKED, IT DIDN'T SO I DID THE SAME THING AGAIN AND WHEN I TURNED IT ON THE SECOND TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON???? AND THE LOW RANGE WAS STILL BLINKING???? ANY HELP APPRECIATED THANKS STEVE P.S THE LOW RANGE LIGHT ONLY BLINKS WHEN I TURN ON THE SUV AND THEN GOES AWAY AFTER LIKE A COUPLE SECONDS? AND NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON EVERY TIME I TURN IT ON AND STAYS ON???? THANKS AGAIN STEVE

UPDATE
OKAY SO TODAY I GET IN AND THE LOW RANGE LIGHT JUST BLINKS AND THEN GOES AWAY, AND NOW THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT WENT AWAY????

WHY ARE YOU TELLING... STOP YELLING IT HURTS TO READ WHAT YOU WROTE

BTW, I WOULDNT DRIVE THE CAR IF IT IS STUCK IN LOW RANGE. IF ITS REALLY IN LOW RANGE YOU COULD DO LOTS OF DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION

so get it checked out by a dealer or qualified mechanic... and have them read the codes... ASAP

CAUSE I THOUGHT SOMEONE HERE COULD HELP?, AND IAM NOT SURE IT STUCK IN LOW RANGE JUST THAT THE LIGHT BLINKS FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS WHEN I TURN IT ON????

bout time... are you pulling any codes? or does the low range just blink and then stop?

try putting the car in to neutral and switching in to low range, and then try coming out... maybe something needs to reset itself?

the low range just blinks (for a couple of seconds,and only at start up?) and then stops?

mercedes ml 430
ok here is what you do to fix the problem. turn the car on let it blink and than stop. put it to neutral and turn on your low range. the indicator light should stay on meaning it turned on. than drive the car around the block just lightly at like 5 mph. than tun the low range of. and turn of the car. after this your problem should be solved. what happens is the low range sensor gets out of position and its blinking by letting you know. and after you drive it, it find its space again. well good luck man.
