ESP traction control kicked in at high speed
I was going up a grade on a dry road condition Hwy at about 75mph. The Triangle ! sign started to blink and the traction control braking started to apply when I was doing 75mph. It pitched my car left and right. I thought I was going to crash into the cars next to me!.
It seems to have pitch my ML around about 4 time before I slowed down to about 60mph. The BAS light was on for the remainder of the drive and No more ESP/ETS engagement at speed.
What the Hell! that was scary!

Yep, scary alright. There's an upper speed limit for traction to function - not sure but I believe it's in the 50mph range (check your owner's manual) and the reason for the limit is so we all don't experience your scare! Get it checked out ASAP.

Holy s__t Batman!!That's a real scare, especially at that speed,so fast! Were you ok, knowbody was hurt? I would hurry down to the nearest dealer and get it rectified A.S.A.P., as that's not a good thing.

Its happening more often now. I think it is a sensor of some sort. I wont be able to get it checked out until 2-3 weeks from now.

Did you recently change out wheels/tires? Is the wear identical to all the other tires? Swapping out a bad tire with a new one sometimes causes this, especially if the wear on the others are significant.
The rotation from the new tire will be slower than the rest, and it can confuse ESP system.
