I recently bought a 2002 ML320. I am having problems with the audio. The CD player does not see the CD cartridge, it displays "No CDs inserted"; I see the radio stations on the LCD display but I am not hearing a single sound out from the speakers? What should I do?? I can't afford the MB dealership they are charging arm and a leg just to check it.......

Check all your fuses..... if that doesnt fix it .....then locate your power amplifier and check the fuse on it too. In my case it was the fuse on the power amplifier.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

Hi,
I checked all the fuses except for the amplifier fuse which I have been unable to locate under the hood.
The radio is getting power, the controls work but there is no sound.
Thank you,
Ed

Did you buy the truck with this problem?
Does the radio work but not when you use the CD player?
In other words, tell a story and cover all the bases.
In the meantime, check the E-call module under the front seat passenger seat and see that the fiber optic cables are in place. The fiber optic cables are routed from the CD player to the E-call module and then onto the radio and then to the sound amplifier which is located under the rugging below the brake pedal.
