About to purchase brakes for 04 ML 350

My brother-in-laws ML needs brakes and instead of him going to the dealer and paying the $1200 they quoted him I told him I would change them for him. I just spent some time searching these forums looking for what you guys recommend and have come to the conclusion that using Mintex pads with Zimmerman rotors from autohaus is a good way to go. It seems like a lot of members said they produce less dust than OEM and if you use the anti-squeek paste they are quiet. Only thing I couldn't find someone saying they have ran these pads for a long time and they remained quiet. So has anyone had these pads for 10k plus miles without much noise?

mintex = heavy dust..
Zimmermann rotor = $$

I use Akebono Euro pads and Miele Platinum rotors. Happy with the combo and it is almost zero dust.

Zimmerman rotors have a zinc coated that (in my case) completely eliminated the rusting rotors. As far as pads are concerned...I use Bendix ceramics. I stop on a dime and much less dust than OEM pads.
