Easy Affordable Aftermarket Exhaust
I posted a thread a week or so ago regarding after market mufflers, and the high price of Mercedes specific models. I was hoping someone had done the research on domestic mufflers that would fit. With no luck, I took it apon myself and now can give everyone a much cheaper alternitive! I will have sound clips at idle, launch,and passing by soon. The install is very easy and can be done with hand tools or welded, stainless or steel. Anyone interested drop me a line.

A member by the name of BETO installed a Flow Master Series 50 ( 3 chamber- dual in/single out) for about $140 here in Vegas. I will have to hookup with him and see how it works/sounds. I think paying several hundred dollars or more is rediculous for an aftermarket exhaust; though some will diasgree. I am sure he does have better flow with the Flowmaster over the stock unit. I am not sure of this, but I think the Supersprint setup for the ML could be using a straight flow-through muffler.
I also have a 3 series BMW coupe (E46) and replaced the rear muffler with a Edelbrock RPM series and was flamed at Bimmer.org. Some people at Bimmer.org did recognize the fact that on a E46 series BMW, the AM exhausts systems was only a muffler replacement (did not replace any piping).
