MCS Upgrade for 1998 ML320

I'm wondering if anyone knows if you can convert the Bose head unit in a 1998 ML 320 (with cd changer) to the MCS LCD head unit that comes in the newer models. Any help/advice is certainly appreciated.

Im almost positive you can. Im pretty sure its a direct install. Either get the MB techs to do it. You could try if your good or get a good aftermarket audio installer.
As far as getting ahold of one of those MCS units go on EBay, they arent selling one now. But i have seen them before. so keep on the lookout.

It's not a direct replacement if you want the navigation system, but it can be done. See the following thread on BenzWorld's M-class forum. You may want to post there if you have questions, as there are a number of owners on that site who have done this modification
