ML 500 2002 with Bixenon Headlight Auto Leveling ???

ML 500 2002 with Bixenon Headlight Auto Leveling ???
How can you tell if a car has the auto leveling option?
I just took out the right headlight to fix a loose reflector due to the adjusting bolt adjusted too far back and noticed a device attached to back of the light assembly with attached wires and a rod connected to it and the light reflector. I never noticed the light leveling feature all this time and I am the original owner. I read other thread for other MBs and they mention about programing the feature. Any idea?
