1998 mercedes benz ml320
Engine swap
I am thinking of swapping the v6 out for a v8 1998 ml 320 what problems to look for and do you have to change the computer

Apart from sheer boredom and just wanting to kill time buy doing the swap it would be much cheeper to buy a ML430, since they are a dime a dozen and cheap to buy.

Actually it is the 320 and 350 that are a dime A dozen. Lots more 6cyl were made than the V8's. V8's are and have always been a far more limited production vehicle.

doesnt mean the ML430s are particularly rare...

Never said they were rare, just much more limited. From what I hear in the W163 series the ratio was approx 100 6cyl vs 1 V8. In the W164 series the ratio is about 200 6 cyl vs 1 V8.
