I am a BMW enthusiast but I have came across a 1999 ML430 with 79k miles on it for $7000. I know nothing about ML's much less Mercedes Benz but were these vehicles available without a cd player? There wasnt one on the stereo system but could it have a cd changer elsewhere? What kind of engines are in these things? Is there anything I should watch out for? Also the cup holder in the backseat is broken or off the track so would this be ungodly expensive to fix?

Remember the vehicle you are looking at is 10 or perhaps close to 11 years old. As a vehicle ages maint costs increase. If it has a CD player it would be in the cargo area on the right side behind the side panel which comes off as I recall with a turning latch. The cup holder should not be a big deal. If it has been kept up and has been well maintained there should be no significant issues or no more than an 11 year old BMW. Engine is a V8. 99 was the first year for a V8 however the same engine was used in numerous MB's for some time and is very good.
