Fog in headlight

I just noticed that one of my headlights has moisture in it (2002 ML320). Fogged beyond belief. What are my options? Do I need to replace it now? Is there any chance this is covered under warranty? Can I fix it myself?

Thanks,
Brad

Awaiting a new arrival...
I had my ML in this week for the same thing on 1 headlight and 1 foglight, with the sport package. The headlight was not replaced, as it supposedly is supposed to let air/condensation in through a small hole. According to MB, it is therefore normal to fog and does not affect performance. My service advisor asked that if it bothers me still down the road, he'll get it replaced, but indicated there is a letter from MB expressly stating it is not to be replaced. My foglight, on the other hand, will be replaced under warranty for identical symptoms. Both occured after the front of the ML was covered with snow while on vacation and parked safely in my driveway. YMMV.

Robert,

Same thing with my car, snowstorm fogged one of my headlights

I don't doubt that excuse from MB but boy does it look ugly. Poor design in my opinion.

Thanks,
Brad

I have a MY02 also and I had same thing happen to me on both tail lamps

and both driving mirror integrated turn signals lamps. All four pieces were replaced. The driver's side rear tail lams has started fogging again. A few manufacturers now provide vent holes in these units and they may fog up. Turn the headlamp on and let it dry out the condensation. I still think that it's a poor design.

it's TOTALLY NORMAl

The fogging up is normal. It clears up pretty easily and quickly. Doesn't affect vision esp when you turn on the lights it clears up instantly. Dealers won't replace lights.
