99 ML 320

I've got a 99 ML320 that has me pulling my hair out. I have been reading the forum to find the same symptoms as mine and I have found alot, but it seems like I do one thing it runs for a day or two then something else happens. Just got a code reader to try and figure out why when I turn the ignition on all dash lights (both turn signals at the same time etc.) come on and it wont crank. Code reader says P1747 looked up code it shows elecdtronic gear selector module. My question is does anyone know where the hell the gear selector module is located????? Any help would be great!
