ML 320 command removal
I bought this ML damaged and repaired it. Looks like new with only 8000 miles on it after fixing it. I bought a ML CD changer and went to hook it up and found that the connector had been cut off when someone took the CD changer. I ordered a new connector and pins and tried to hook it up. In doing so I must have blown the fuse behind the command. All radio fuses under the hood are OK.
I just bought the little tools to remove the command. The fold down door to display will not let down. I need to know..
1. How to remove the unit exactly to replace the fuse behind it.
2. How to correctly map the correct wires to the connector to hook up the CD changer. some of the wiring (I assume to be the grounds) (uninsulated) wrap around the the second set of insulated wires in the harness. does anyone have a good diagram of the CD changer wiring harness and explanation.
I have been reading all the post here and really enjoy this site. It has been a wealth of information.

Radio Removal
Removing the radio is quite simple...just insert the tools into the 2 slots on the lower edge of the radio..they will click in....simply pull on the rings...the radio will slide out...when you are ready to release the keys....depress the 2 silver colored flaps on the left and right side of the radio....they will come right out....I do not believe that there is a fuse directly on the radio...If you have a yr 2000 or later, there is another fuse box located on the right kick panel in the passenger side footwell...I believe that the fuse for the radio is located there....

Thanks so much. I know there is a 15 amp fuse on the back of the unit but I will check the kick panel in the footwell first for a blown fuse. Now if I can just get the pinout and hook up info for the CD changer I should be in good shape. I am glad I found this site.
