2004 ml 350 power steering fluid help

hi guys i have a 2004 ml 350. when the car is on parked, and i moved the steering wheel left and right it would make a winding noise. could this be the axel or power steering fluid? where is the power steering fluid located under the hood?

p/s res is located left front of the engine. you will have to pull the cover off the engine and you will see a black cap in front of the left (drivers side) valve cover. unscrew it and the cover will come off with a small stick on it oil should be at max. if its not refill with fluid and check for leaks. p/s hose on the radiator also may have fallen off. look at the left side of radiator in front of the res and check the hoses, there is a recall for this.

fill the fluid. let the car run. if its the pump it will take a few days to empty out. if its the hose trust me you will know.
