2000 ML Facktory headlights

I have a 2000 ML430 and I just put in some HID 6K. When I installed these lights I noticed the High beam bulb was under the low beam. But what My question is to you all, what is the bulb spot in the inside of the head light? There is a spot for a bulb and the 2 wires are neatly put in there. I haven't had time to take any pics or even realy mess with it. I just noticed it and thought some of you may know.

Thanks
Lupers3

Dam I jsut realized that I can spell factory right. Oh well

That is for a "fog light"

I believe it's an H1 or H3 bulb. You need to hack your fuse setup or have the dealer turn it on in the ECU/AAM

it must be an H3 because an H1 is to long. I know that I can wire it up if need to be. just didn't know that the fog light was apart of the headlight assembly
