ML 320 cluster ISSUES..

Well i have an 1998 ML320, she has 150k on the ODO.. but my mechanic checked the cluster and it Failed and i have to replace it..

I'm about of buying a cluster that i saw in a Junk yard, the Cluster appears with 80k on the ODO..

My Question is. If i replace my damage cluster with 150k for the one that has 80k on the odo.. Which mileage would appear? The current 150k one? or the 80k of the new cluster?

Do Somebody had replace their cluster? Did their Mileage Changed? What happened? Does it work normally?

I don't really care about the change of mileage (If it does) I'm planning keeping this vehicule.. I just want to make sure whats going to happen..

thanks ..

ML320
replacement cluster

I think that this info would be held in one of the computers, as it would have to know the current milage against the FSS, but then again... change it out and see what happens!

Am pretty sure that the mileage info is recorded by the FSS

I think, it would show 150K miles, the miles that you actually have on the truck, not what is on the newer cluster...just try it out...
