Lost of power when accelerating.... help
Well, I had everything perfect. Driving my 99 ML 430 this whole weekend in the hot 80 degree sun. Even car washed it to, just a perfect day.
Went to work Monday morning, left work at 5ish. Cruised back home on my 8 min commute, but realized something was wrong when I accelerated.
I was like, hmmmmmm...
When you take care of you car so well, it's enough to tell the slightest difference from rattles to the smallest thing. But today was different.
When I accelerate on the gas, it revs higher then usual. It still runs but lost of power, about 50%.
I knew something was wrong, but don't know how it happened, or is this a usual maintance check up. I also have to do my 75k service anyway.
Did anyone experience this before? and if so, what's wrong and what's the bill like?
thanks all!

My first guess is your mass-airflow sensor went bad, which is highly likely, especially after 75K miles. My second guess would be your fuel pump is starting to go, and not producing enough fuel pressure.

Actually it 's the fan that blowing like crazy..
when I accelerate.
And I just came back from the garage for the 75k miles service. It's still reving high and loosing power. My mechanic says it's not the transmission, can it be the fan clutch?
andaya
