The PS rad was leaking so my mechanic cut the hoses and by passed it.
Running without PS radiator and using generic PS fluid.
Seems to be OK.
Whats the down side to running without PS Radiator?

Are you certain that the PS rad was leaking and not the trans cooler?? Doing what you say will eventually cause the unit to fail if by not using the MB fluid alone. I am not even certain that the PS unit has a rad.

The P/S rad in on the drivers side and the trans rad is on the passenger side. The p/s hose recalls all deal with the connection at the rad.
