Experience with Skyview Roof

Can you guys please share your experience on the skyview roof ?

Do leaks occur ?

Are there a ton of mechincal errors with this option.

Also are there diffrent setting such as having the roof only 1/4 open ?

And last How does the roof look from inside the car when it is closed.

Thanks alot, I appreciate the help.

I have a friend in Florida who has an ML430 with skyview, that is out of warranty. It stuck open & the local dealer wanted $4,000 to fix it, or $500 to close & disable it. This could be the reason that MB discontinued the skyview as an option.

My dealer discouraged me from ordering on my previous ML's. Leaks, rattles, mechanical problems, etc. Was not avail on my 02 as the curtain airbags would not allow the installation. Have never heard anything good about this roof. Very expensive to repair and they do not stay fixed!!
