Oill level Sender

I have a faulty oil level sender. I see that it is difficult to replace. My question is does this only warn you about levels. I am concerned that a sudden loss of oil pressure would not be known. I was thinking of disconnecting this sendor since it is reporting low levels when they are not but I still want to be advised of low oil pressure. If I can do this could someone also tell me where the wires are located on the engine so I can disconnect them. Most cars do not have this feature but they all have this warning light for pressure. thanks in Advance.

no that is not for oil pressure, only level. you also have a dipstick so you don't have to depend on the oil level sending unit. replacing isn't that difficult, you only need to remove the sub pan.
