1998 ML320 switches loose in dash

1998 ML320 switches loose in dash
My 98 ML320 has two switches located just left of the radio, a 4 low and an aux light switch. Both of these switches are loose and pushed into the dash cavity. How are these supposed to be secured in place and how do I get to them? Any help would be appreciated.
