weird gasoline indicator

Question weird gasoline indicator
hi ... need some advice ....

filled up the gas tank and the indicator shows 1/1 ... after around 20-30 kilometer suddenly the indicator show almost 1/2 .. stay there until around 200kilometer and suddenly the warning (out of gas warning) light is on. when i re-fill the tank, it stops at 24 liters .... what is wrong ya? what should i do?
