Why won't my phone or voice control work?
I just purchased a new to me 2003 ML500, that had the V60 integrated phone setup (but missing the phone itself), but did include the cradle/charger, and a Motorola unit underneath the seat. I purchased a V60 Bluetooth adapter to pair with my Iphone (supposed to be compatible). No power seems to be going to the unit, as it won't even light up. Pressing "phone" on the MCI unit and you get "No phone installed". There is also a voice activated stalk option, came with a separate manual as well, but that doesn't work either. I've checked fuses, but can't find anything wrong, and trying to avoid a crazy bill from the dealer.

Your car may be missing the PSE module AND the VCM module. You will need to look in the trunk, left side for the two modules. Someone may have removed them (or at least bypassed them and left them in place). There is also a strong possibility that you do not have the correct PCM for the V60 puck to work. You will need to check the part number on the side of the PSE module.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. Why would anyone remove or bypass those modules? I recently wired up a harness and a trailer hitch, and was inside the left side of the trunk last week. I'll have to open it up again and look.
