Question bug/stone deflector

Any one have experience with using a bug deflector on their ML. I have on other vehicles and found it interfered with the windshield wiping action. Usually made them chatter or not give a clean sweep. I'm appalled by the stone chipping on the hood and would like to reduce it.

Also what about winter wiper blades, they won't have the air spoilers on them to help with contact, can they still be used and get satisfactory results?

the brain needs to know.

I use one on mine and have experienced no problems with the wipers, and only collected 2 rock chips in about 16 K miles of mostly winter mountain driving. It works very well!

Putting one on Monday

Hi Tracy

From what I found out the MB bug deflector has a curl on the top edge, this not only helps deflect bugs and stone, but does not interfer with the action of the wipers.

I ordered one and along with some other work will have it installed Monday. Thanks for your post...........brian
