2001 ML430 - Braking Problem
I bought a 2001 ML430 in June that I use as a second car in San Jose del Cabo. When the car has been sitting not used for any period longer than a week, it has brake problem shortly after starting to drive. The ABS brakes engage without stepping on the pedal and the car comes almost to a stop. If the brakes disengage, the ETS sensor light comes on and the car seems to operate ok. I had the Mercedes dealer replace the sensor (cost about $250) but the problem still persists and the light comes on. I like the car, but sitting idle seems to mess with its electronics. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks

I've seen many of the ABS pump relays burn up the electrical contacts inside causing weird issues like this.. Try replacing the relay (in the fuse box under the hood) and see if that helps.
