Towing a 19 ft Airstream Bambi with ML350

Does anyone tow a 19' Airstream (4500 lbs, 550 hitch wt) with their ML350? I'm trying to get a Class IV hitch on my 2007 so I can. MB will only install a Class III with 5K towing capacity, 550 hitch wt. My ML has a towing capacity of 7,200 lbs, 571 lb hitch wt, according to my manual. I just want a studier hitch. MB is not responding to my questions about advertised towing capacity vs available hitch. I'm one of those gals who really uses my ML for off road adventures, kayaks on the top and piles of gear inside. This is my third M-class so clearly I like them. Yet now that I want to tow a trailer, I can't find an acceptable hitch. Help please.

Your 2007 ML is a W164, this is the W163 forum. They are vastly different vehicles, the W163 being a body-on-frame truck and your W164 utilizing unit body construction. You'll likely get more pertinent advice in the W164 forum. Happy towing and welcome to MBWorld!
