ML 500/ML 55 silver grille
Hey.......Does anyone know anything about those aftermarket chrome grille inserts they sell on ebay? I don't want to spend 50 bucks for some $7.00 roll of moulding trim from pep boys. Also, does anyone know what the entire silver grille goes for?? I'd like to upgrade the look of my 350. (Would have went with the Inspiration package, but I wasn't too keen on the charcoal leather.)
Thanks
Thanks

Just in case, be aware that you are referring to two different grilles - the ML500's grille is just the black grille with the silver stripes. The ML55's grille is fully silver and also has the silver stripes.
The ML55 grille is very expensive at this point - the prices have risen quite a bit - about $200-250 right now. The ML500 grille should be less than that - haven't checked up too much on it though.
Hope it helps.

I purchased my silver/chrome ML55 grille from ForMyMercedes.com. It's a bit pricey at $279, but they have excellent service. It came quickly, well-packaged. Makes a big difference on my '98.

You can get the ML55 grille for $259 at the dealer - that's MSRP. I got it for $199 about a month ago from a source that I had contacted previously for other parts.
The prices really have shot up on the grilles - about a year ago, the 55 grilles were going for about $150-190.

Do not buy those.........
$50 strips off ebay. They are crap. Bad tape and the chrome bubbles after a few months. Get the ones from formymercedes.com. Excellent quality and they last. The strips are pricey but, it is a specialty item. Lot less than a new grille though. I have had mind on for over a year now with no problems.

Get the one from PP or FMM they are real and chose the kind that you like old ML55 or new Style ML55.

I paid under $100 for my grill. I got the ML500 grill...not the ML55. This grill has the stripes...they are not taped on...they are the real thing. Makes the truck look so much better IMO.
