School me on o2's and closed loop

School me on o2's and closed loop
I have been scanning my pre cat o2's while driving and I have noticed that the bank 1 O2 seems to get hung up on the rich side for quite a while before crossing over the .45v. Today I noticed that it was already in closed loop before it had warmed up. I checked the coolant temp and it was at 47C and then was litterally after only running the truck for a minute. Is this supposed to happen? I thought it stayed in open loop until the truck was warmed up. I know I have another thread on my fuel trim issue but I just want this information as a separate thread. I am trying to learn about these systems online but it's hard to find certain info. Thanks for anyone who contributes to this thread.
