As with the other photos, this was also posted months ago - probably not too accurate with regard to the actual production car. As to the badging 'MLX' - that was also discussed when the ML was released in '98 model year. If you look at the original design proposal for the ML, it does include a short-wheelbase 2-door model and a long ML. However those plans were scrapped.
The W164 will reportedly have a LWB version to better compete against the Toyota Land Cruiser / Lexus LX, the Range Rover, etc.
However, the badging of 'MLX' as well as the release of the production car as something that looks like the vehicle depicted in this photoshop is not confirmed at all, so before doing things like making an MLX forum, one should wait for more concrete word
