Pad Wear warning light and Brake warning Light on only when I first start my ML
Hi guys, I've searched, but haven't found a good answer. The past week, my 2002 ML500 has developed an interesting issue. When I start the truck no warning lights on, but when I depress the brake pedal, the Pad Wear warning light and the Brake Warning light both come on hard. They will go off when I take my foot of the brakes, when I re-apply the brake pedal they come back on and then I shift it into gear they go off and don't come back on until I stop and turn of the ignition and wait awhile. EPS BAS light has come on 3 times in the past 6 months, but always goes off.
I believe I need to replace the brake switch, but not sure. I know the switch has been replaced several times, my ML 500 has 124,000 on the clock.

Wanted to update the issue
The lights still come on and go off when the break pedal is depressed when you first start it. It only comes on when the car is running and you fully depress the brake pedal. The alarm chirps fopr alf a second when you depress the pedal when stopping and both lights come back on. Release the brake pedal and no lights. I've already checked the brake fluid (was good) and made sure the parking brake was disengaged. The brakes were replaced 20,000 miles ago.

Still have the lights
Well my brakes needed to be replaced, so brakes and rotors at all four corners, I also replaced all the brake pad sensor. The lights are still on, but are intermittent when applying the brakes. Please someone help.

Rear brake replacement
Quick question for clarification 43K rears are at 2/3 $990 at the dealer for rotors and pads only. Service says MB recommends changing rotors with the pads. This is different than any car Ive owned in 50 years, can I not resurface/turn the rotors?
