need help with brake lights... stay on
One post states the light sensor is connected to the base of the master cylinder.
Is this correct?
I disconnected that sensor but the lights were still on. If that is the sensor and I disconnected it should the brake lights have gone off?
A liitle help before I start throwing parts at it.
Thanks
That did the trick!
This is the second time i have had a sticking relay. Once it happened with my electric cooling fans and now with the brake lights.
I tapped on the top of the relay and off it went both times.
It was hot and during the summer both times. Maybe they are effected by the heat after they get old.

Makes perfect sense also explains loud constant hum from that area that I could not figure out.
Thanks for the link too!
Any ideas on increasing my gas mileage? My vehicle is perfectly maintained but have only 15ish MPG. Do MAF and coils go bad gradually and diminish their performance or are they a working or non working parts?
Truck runs fine no misses fully tune up at 100K
