Where to purchase a trip computer for 2001 ML320
MY trip computer freezes in the compass "N" position and does't turn off when the car is turned off and key is taken out.
Where do I buy a new trip computer other than the dealers? The part #'s I'm told will work are: 163 540 52 11, or 64 11, or 82 11

compass problems with 2001 ML320 trip computer
Major, thanks for the reply. Saw your download and will diconnect the mod tomorrow. Thanks for this advise. The compass mod has got to cost much less than the whole trip computer.
Just had the ESP module replaced. Wonder if I have the right part installed. Funny thing did I mention, when the compass function gets stuck (won't shut down) the side lights don't confirm the car is locked when pressing the remote lock botton. Diagnostic is on the same fuse (#13) as the trip computer. Pulling the fuse is the easiest way to unfreeze the compass function.
Maybe it needs a MB diagnostic tool activation?
