2003 ML 500
'03 ML 500 spark plug change... just wondering

I know a lot of you have changed plugs on your ML. I've just changed mine,... all but one. How were you able to get the last plug wire off (closest to fire wall #8 cyl., drivers side)? I have the plug wire puller tool & it worked like a charm... except on that wire. Not enough leverage to get it on the boot.

Have you tried to access it through the wheel opening? Removing the wheel cover? Mine is a V6 so i'm just giving you an idea....maybe it might work

spark plug removal

Yeah... I guess that would work, but that's the last resort for one spark plug. I'm wondering how others have done it with a ML 500 (V-8) w/o removing a wheel. Thanks,

You can try leaving the wheel on and just removing the cover an d turning the wheel to give you access. Or maybe from underneath????
